The Event

This year's event will take place on Sunday, September 22nd at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton. The event starts with a pre-ride breakfast where avid cyclists, health centre teams, families and individual riders congregate for a pre-ride breakfast. Riders then depart in waves based on their pre-selected routes of 10km, 25km, 40km and 85km which take them through beautiful scenic tours of the Milton countryside. Upon returning, our riders are treated to a delicious BBQ lunch and cold refreshments. This year, we will offer bike tune-ups and kinesiology tape to ensure bikes and bodies are optimized, as well as post-ride RMT massages to ease hard working muscles and joints. All-in-all it is a great day where the community rallies together for St. Joe's.

By the Numbers

St. Joe’s has been serving this community for almost 100 years. Today our Health Centre remains at the heart of West Toronto, with more than 260,000 coming in for outpatient care, over 100,000 visits to our Emergency Department, 60,000+ turning to us for mental health care, and more than 172,000 imaging tests. The list goes on of the many services we provide, which you will see for yourself in the brochure you can download here.

This summer, St. Joe’s is celebrating raising $100 million (and counting) to keep our Promise to always be here to care for the unique needs of our west-end community. Donations to-date have helped expand our services for kids, open a renovated Mental Health Emergency Services Unit, and the Bachir Yerex Family Dialysis Centre, while construction on a dedicated breast centre, as well as a palliative care centre are underway. But ours is a Promise without end. This is only the beginning.

At St. Joe’s, we are committed to forever meeting the health care needs of our west-end community. With your help, St. Joe’s can expand care to focus on our unique needs – from women’s health to seniors, to mental health and emergency care, to taking care of our children.
